About Me

My photo
Mingqin Shao
During my 11 years of education and research experience, I have consistently excelled in Plant Genetics and Breeding through my B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees. Beyond my education and academic research experiences, I have four years of experience working in seed production research at Monsanto China. There I was trained as a professional commercial corn line researcher and qualified seeds quality assurance specialist. Now, with more than 15 years of academic study, research and seeds industrial working experiences on multiple crops (canola, wheat and corn) and in different locations and countries (Indian, China and United States) I am a capable breeder who can work on different crops and in diverse locations. I am confident that my education, working experiences, and passion in plant breeding will be well suited to any plant breeder positions. It is my life long career goal to be a productive breeder and I truly believe that breeders have what it takes to make agriculture more productive and more sustainable to feed the hungry word and improve lives.
